One of my favorite places to visit is Mitsuwa Market Place in Edgewater, NJ. Even though I've blogged about this place a couple times, I want to share with you my most recent experience involving sashimi. Mitsuaw offers a large selection of sushi grade fish and it's so much cheaper to eat sashimi at home than it is in restaurants. We got scallops, tuna, yellowfin and fatty tuna!
Pickled radish, a perfect accompaniment for the fish.
Here's a shot of the cubed radish with Tamagoyaki (traditional Japanese rolled egg omelet and I always have to get it!) Mitsuwa also offers a huge selection of pre-made pickled veggies and sides, the one in the foreground is a mixture of veggies and lotus root.
I love buying grilled mackrel at Mitsuwa because it can easily stink up your kitchen if you cook it at home.
