I've eaten here a couple times now and just love their food. They have been operating in the same location since 1954. During a recent take out I ordered a small Cold Borscht ($4.25). I could eat this beautiful magenta soup everyday of the week, happily. The soup is mildly sweet from the beets, creamy from a little sour cream and crunchy from the minced cucumbers. There are even thinly sliced hard boiled eggs in it too! I also ordered a small plate of four sauerkraut & mushroom pierogis ($6.75). It was nice, they gave me an extra pierogi because one of them was broken. You can get them boiled or fried but I prefer boiled. They came with a side of sour cream and applesauce. I can't wait to go back!
